Day 1

01 - Flight
Storms over the eastern US. A very quick sunrise over the Atlantic.

02 - Westminster Abbey and Parliament
After we all reached the hotel, our next stop was Westminster Abbey, Parliament, and Big Ben.

03 - London Eye
Just across the Thames River from Parliament is the London Eye.

Day 2

04 - Tower of London
We beat the crowds and got to the Tower of London early and took the guided tour.

05 - Walk to Museum
We walked across London from the Tower of London to the British Museum.

06 - The British Museum
The collected antiquities of the British Empire. One could spend a week in this museum. We saw the highlights in a few hours including the Rosetta Stone, and a few Egyptian mummies.

07 - Walk to Picadilly
After the museum, we walked to Trafalgar Square, and on to Picadilly Circus

Day 3

08 - Buckingham Palace Just the view through the gates at Buckingham Palace, and the Queen Victoria Memorial.

09 - Parks and Knightsbridge
After Buckingham, we walked through Green Park, then through Knightsbridge. We went through Harrods, and then walked on to the Albert Memorial.

10 - Walk to the Globe Theater
We walked back across London from Knightsbridge to the Shakespeare Globe Theater (crossing the Millenium Bridge along the way). We saw Much Ado About Nothing.

11 - Ascot
We took the train out to Ascot to visit our next-door neighbors from when my family lived there. They took John, Kristin and me out for a fantastic meal in Sunninghill.

Day 4

12 - Windsor
We checked out of our hotel in London, and took the train out to Gatwick airport where we picked up our rental car. Our first stop outside London was Windsor.

13 - Stone Henge
